In today's UK Column News from 18th May 2020:

1. Oxford Vaccine Group and AstraZeneca being overfunded by the Government yet cutting corners on safety

  • Government is backing this with £84 million from the public purse, which also includes £18.5 million to Imperial College for trials, to produce 100 million doses to come out by the Autumn

  • Also being paid is a Vaccines Manufacturing and Innovation Centre (VMIC) that are receiving a further £93 million to establish a rapid deployment facility (being described as a "key component of the Coronavirus programme" to mass produce vaccines) out of which £38 million is going towards even more "Rapid deployment doses"

  • In total this is completely over what the UK population of 68 million would need which is hugely concerning considering the sums of money involved from the government and the fact that there is hardly any testing being considered

  • The Government is now admitting at this point that they have no idea of what level of herd immunity is already in the population and are only now using a company called 'Biobank' in support of a vaccination programme

  • Bill Gates' recent quote saying that up to 700,000 people globally might suffer side effects from this was referenced as well as the UK Government's policy of paying out £120,000 as a one of payment in cases of vaccine injury. This payment is however subject to a clause that you would have to prove that you are 60% disabled directly from this to qualify for it

2. Social distancing measures and 2 metres having no robust scientific basis in addition to being unenforceable by law

  • Further to their investigation, UK Column News confirms that Public Health England (PHE) do not have a robust scientific basis for the 2 metre rule of social distancing and that this is in fact "precautionary" advice as per their 'COVID-19 infection prevention and control guidance' document

  • It is clearly mentioned in this that most people do NOT become infectious until the onset of symptoms, highlighting the fact that the vast majority of people do not show any symptoms as 'carriers' so therefore cannot pass anything on

  • With little confidence this document that is being used to guide the NHS and the public stipulates that the transmission of Covid-19 is "thought to occur mainly through respiratory droplets"

  • The document then contradicts itself to say that the most common form of transmission is actually through contact surfaces and not from such droplets

  • The team asks how it is that the government has set about making such huge changes to, for example, children being set apart at school on the basis of such arbitrary and contradictory estimations that only applies to those having symptoms in closed spaces

  • The document admits that the maximum distance for cross transmission of droplets has "not been definitely determined"

  • The underlying 'Science' used by PHE was further investigated by the team showing no concrete substance to how the 2 metre number was reached from the results obtained in the study and how the risk outside is virtually insignificant

  • Mentions how the National Police Chief's Council (NPCC) backtracked on their social distancing enforcements where it is now clear they cannot force social distancing rules because they are not in fact law. Embarrassingly all prosecutions under the Coronavirus Act were illegal and have been rescinded

3. State of the economy

  • Provocation of strikes from Trades unions and businesses preventing people from going back to work will hurt the economy

  • Andy Haldane of the Bank of England quoted as saying that negative interests rates are something they would be looking at

4. Sir Mark Sedwill and the shadow state now in control of Britain

  • Discusses how Sir Mark Sedwill, the current unelected Civil Service Chief, is running the Government's 'Counter disinformation and media development programme', GCHQ, MI5 and MI6 and now the 'Joint Biosecurity Centre' which very concerningly is falling into the Intelligence services rather than Health services
